2023 Mission Trip Review
2023 - Lumberton, SC - Hurricane Relief
Every summer our church youth go on a mission trip. This year our 2023 youth mission team will be going to TEAMeffort’s South Carolina Coast Hurricane Relief, Lumberton, SC mission site June 18-24. TEAMeffort is a non-profit inter-denominational Christian mission
organization that has been providing life-changing, eye-opening, and faith-building mission experiences for youth for over 20 years. They offer opportunities for youth groups to put their faith into action through challenging and rewarding mission projects. Western Kentucky is filled with incredible people who need help. Our team will serve in an area that will meet needs of the community and make a lasting impact on each member. There will be building opportunities ranging from hurricane disaster relief to house repairs. While there, our Groups will stay in a facility in large classrooms of a school. On campus, there will be a dining hall, gym, ball field, activities, and Chapel. All meals are provided except two lunches
and two dinners during free time. As we put our faith into action by ministering to this community through activities and helping to improve their homes, we will also be showing them that the love of Christ is at the center of their new lives. Most importantly while we work we also spend time in
Christian fellowship with our church group and with people from all over the USA. We are trying to be God’s hands and feet to His people. We will learn a lot about ourselves and God’s plan for us.
The trip will cost will be @$459. Each participant pays $100 deposit so $384 per participant needs to be raised. Right now, we have 22 youth and 4 adults. In the past most funds have been raised by fundraising. One way we can raise the money is by getting sponsors.

$883 pays for a Rental Van for the week which holds 7 people.
$484 pays for a Youth’s Full Trip expenses- lodging, food & transportation
$359 pays for a Youth lodging
$125 pays for the travel & food expenses for 1
